About the Boletín Informativo

Boletín Techint is a Techint Group initiative aimed at promoting industrial and productive activity in Argentina and Latin America. It does so by sharing information, analysis, and debate on economic and industrial development.

Today, it has evolved into an online platform —boletintechint.com.ar— that features in-depth articles, papers, and coverage of its annual International Seminars, offering a strategic perspective on the challenges of development.

About the Boletín Informativo

Since 2005, Boletín Techint has hosted the International Seminar every year in Argentina and Mexico. This forum brings together leading global voices from academia and the political-industrial arena to discuss the major issues shaping the world economy, including employment, productivity and value chains, trade tensions, and geopolitical challenges.

Past speakers have included Xavier Xala I Martin (2006), Robert Barro (2007), Branko Milanovic (2019), David Autor (2017), Daron Acemoglu (2021) —awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences in 2024—, Adam Tooze and Timothy Sturgeon (2022), John Fernald (2023), and Richard Baldwin and Aaron Friedberg (2024).

Founded in 1959 as a quarterly magazine, the Boletín has more than 60 years of history. For decades, it circulated in print among business leaders, academics, and policymakers, before gradually transitioning to a digital format in the 2010s.

The views expressed in Boletín Techint are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the Techint Group’s management.
